جب تک آقائے دو جہاں سرکار دو عالم حضرت محمد مصطفی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صحابہ کرام کے درمیان تشریف فرما تھے تو تب تک اسلامی فقہ کا محور آپ علیہ السلام ہی کی ذات مبارکہ تھی آپکا دنیا سے پردہ فرماجانے کے بعد صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہم اجمعین سے لومسئلے مسائل پوچھتے رہے بعض حضرات صحابہ نے فقہی مسائل کو کسی ایک صحیفے میں جمع فرمالیا بعض نے مسائل سن کر یاف کرلیے- پھر تابعین اور تبع تابعین کے زمانے میں علم فقہ باقاعدہ طور پر مدون ہوا - آنے والے وقت کے ساتھ فقہ کے نئے نئے مسائل کا استخراج کیا گیا اور ان کی بنیاد قران و حدیث پر رکھی گئی- فقہائے کرام کے ہر طبقے نے اپنے زمانے کے مد نظر مختلف تالیفات فقہ فرمائیں- ان میں سے زیر نظر ایک تالیف فقہ حنفی ہے-
حنفی حضرات بہت شد و مد کے ساتھ اہل الرائے ہونے کا کہا جاتا تھا جسکا مطلب یہ تھا کہ اہل احناف محض اپنی ذات اوت رائے سے مسائل کا استخراج کرتے ہیں قران و حدیث کو اہمیت نہیں دیتے- بلا شبہ ایہ ایک عظیم الشان قسم کا اعتراض تھا - علامہ صاغر جی رحمہ اللہ نے الفقہ الحنفی وادلتہ کی تالیف فرمائی اور فقہ حنفی کے مسائل کی بنیاد قران و حدیث کو مقرر فرما کر سارے مسائل اس میں ذکر فرمائے- یہ ایک عظیم الشان کام ہے اور اردو زبان میں پہلی بار دستیاب ہے
